Happy Birthday Rose!

Today is Rose's birthday. I can't believe it has been an entire year since my 24 hour labor with this firecracker. She has truly blessed our lives in so many and wonderful ways. Being a parent is everything I thought it would be, and everything I didn't, and more. I can now understand how our Heavenly Father feels about each one of us and I am grateful for His incomprehensible sacrifice of His son.
Here are some pictures of Rose's pinwheel party yesterday. I got many (okay most) of my ideas from this fabulous party And yes we made everything from the pinwheels to the cake to the banner. It was fun making everything for our little girl.

We are going to dental college to get more dental knowledge...and family pics

So we are definitely going to Lincoln! No other offers came our way but who cares (all you need is one)! We both love the school and the city and I think it will be fabulous. We will leave around the beginning of the sumemr and I am already looking at housing (no, I'm not excited).

On another note, we got family pictures taken about 3 months ago. I've been trying my skills at photoshop which is why I have taken so long to post but here they are. They seem like forever ago because Rose only has 3 teeth and now she has 8.
Can anybody tell me why they look grainy on the blog? When I print them out they look fabulous. Oh well. Rose turns 1 in three days! Can't believe it.

dental school here we come!

Baby Rose and I just wanted to say...Congratulations Dad! The hub got up this morning at 2am and checked his email. Dec 1st is a long awaited day for those trying to get into dental school and he did it! As of yet, we are accepted at Lincoln, Ne and so excited. There could still be more acceptances to come but right now we are pretty darn happy and feel very blessed that the Lord has heard and answered many prayers (and that we don't have to wait any longer to know). Thanks to everyone for all your support and prayers on our behalf. We love you. GO BIG RED!

Snow and Halloween

What a week! A had an interview in Lincoln, Ne this week and we decided to go earlier because of the snow storm. The interview went well and we are hopeful but were snowed out of Wyoming from Tuesday till Saturday. Thanks Davis' for letting us crash at your house for so long! After being snowed out of Wyoming for almost a week we were excited to get back home and enjoy Halloween. I made our costumes (Rose's skirt was the most fun). Here are some pictures of our little Bumble Bee and her bee keepers.

Decorating Halloween cookies. Delicious. We weren't able to carve pumpkins this year but we are thinking about Thanksgiving pumpkins:)
This is from the first fall snow storm. Rose had a love hate relationship. She loved to eat the snow but hated not being able to move in her snow suit.

Big Head

The following conversation took place yesterday when I brought Rose to my mom's 2nd grade classroom. We'll call the 8 year old girl "Sally".
Grandma-Does anybody have any more questions about Rose?
Sally-Yeah, what's that on her head?
Me-Rose is learning how to crawl and walk, she bumps her head all day.
Sally-Is that why her head is so big?
Me-(Stiffling laughter) Oh no, she just has a really big head.
