End of the Year

I successfully completed my first year of teaching! It feels pretty darn good to be done. We had a very short and simple kindergarten graduation but the kids were all so cute dressed up. The last full day of school we took the kindergarteners to the Denver zoo. The Hub came with, mostly to take care of me, but I actually had a great day and felt awesome until we got home.

A lot of you are asking what I am going to do next year so here it is...as long as I start feeling better this summer, I will be back in my same job, take about 6-8 weeks for the baby, and then go back and finish the year. The Hub will only need a few classes after the baby is born so he will play mom for a few months. Hopefully things work out but I am very torn about going back to work. Insurance is important though and it will only be a few months and then I can stay home. I am excited to be back in my same position. The preschoolers that I had this year will be my kindergarteners and they are great and come from great families. I am pretty happy about this and think it will be a good year.

Dats my Baby

Yep its true! Measuring in at 3.61cm and a heart rate of 176 beats per min, we are having a baby. Sorry to keep it from you guys for so long but we wanted to be in the semi-clear before we told people. Soooo...here he/she is for the first time ever seen!
The Doc informed me that the third leg is not necessarily man parts.. I told the doc that we had Italian in our blood...
I am due December 16th and I am exactly 11 weeks along. The only bad thing about it is the morning sickness (all day sickness really) and we might miss Christmas. Sorry Grandma. I am nausiated all day and night. Finally, they put me on some medication that helps a little and I can get through the school day but ladies, I need some pregnant sympathy. Sorry to all the friends and family we have shafted for the past five weeks. If you saw me you would know right away why I decided to stay at home.

We are pretty excited! Especially now that we can actually see what is inside of me. The doc says things look normal and good so hopefully everything runs smoothly.

DAT Stinks

Just taking a break from my DAT studying, I feel like its all I ever do anymore. I just realized that I haven't posted anything about the near future. I'm applying to Dental school this summer... yeah that about sums it up. I hope to have my Application in by the end of this month and take the DAT the middle of June. If anyone knows any tricks to getting accepted to Dental school, let me know.

P.S. you might have heard about a tornado in our neck of the woods. Damage to the city was minimal. Nothing on our side of town, except 12 hours or so without electricity.

Movie Time "Iron Man"

We went to go see Iron Man today. Yeah it pretty much rocked! All and all I would give it two thumbs up. I really enjoyed to story progression. I have not read the comics so I'm not sure how true to the original it is, but from an outside perspective it rocks.

I would have to say that out of the Comic movies this one has a certain believability that the others don't. Don't get me wrong I am a Big X-men fan, but the random evolution of wings or Lazar emitting cornea is a bit of a stretch. A super rich, super smart guy building a super sweet suit on the other hand... does not seem to inconceivable in comparison. It was relay cool on the big screen, but if nothing else, definitely a rental.

Our Spring Trips

I thought it was starting to ge nice here... that was untill we went to Arizona with 80+ weather for spring break. We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa in a retirement community, so we got to brush up on some of the finer things in life... like driving golf carts instead of cars. you would be surprized what some of these people do with there carts down here.

Look what i can do!!
we picked fresh oranges from the tree in the back yard. and while the women folk made fresh squished orange juice.
I re-aranged the two twin beds into a more favorable orientation
We had alot of run with grandpa hicking up at White Berral... I mean White Tank mountain. we saw lots of native american carvings on the rocks, it was pritty sweet.
After Arizona we took a short road trip out to Utah. We stayed with Sweeties friend from college. She cooked us pancakes, I like pancakes:) I was excited to meet up with some old friends and family (the three cousins reunited once agian) from the mission, Somos los Viejos. Including non-other than the elusive German, el Alleman.

We also got tickets for a sesion of conferance which was a lot of fun. I used my journal for a tripod. not bad for a little book eh?

It was realy neat to meet the former TexasEricsons in person. the wife and the Jake had alot of fun together as soon as he got use to her. In the background you can catch a glimps of my cousin resently returned from mission, injoing some home cookin'. all and all it was a fun trip. To top it off we had some all you can eat frys at RedRobin with eRock, big E, lil Brit, and The Bot (sporting a new stream-lined look).
