September update

Recently, I have not been that great at blogging and I feel like this is not such a bad thing in my life right now. I am trying to spend more time with the girls. You know, that one on one time, not just in the same room time. I can spend way too much time on the computer. I spend nap time napping myself and doing house work and spending time with the Hub at nights. So, blogging is low on the list. Tonight the Hub is gone and the girls are sleeping so here I am.

Here are the most recent pictures of the girls. Rose (almost 3) is just like an almost 3 year old should be. Sass and more sass but so sweet. How do they do that at the same time? She loves her sister. She carries her own baby around everywhere and even has a sling for her. She dances all day long and sings. Oh, she can only dance if she is wearing a skirt and tells me I can't dance because I am not wearing a skirt. I guess I can dance on Sundays. Miss Z (almost 10 months) is growing so fast. I thought the time went by fast with Rose. She can say a few words like mama (only when she is sad or hungry) and bye bye and hi. She imitates anything, especially dogs and loves Rose as long as Rose doesn't touch her and try to pull her by the leg across the floor. She isn't walking yet but close. This girl is the sweetest thing. She is a snuggler and sleeps between the Hub and I most nights. I stay very busy and have to remind myself these are daughters of God everyday so I don't get too stressed or worn out. I can say that when I take time to think about these angels I feel like I am in heaven.

This one (even if the picture isn't all that great) is just way too cute.

Cheyenne, Arizona, Easter and More

April started out with a trip back to Cheyenne for Grandpa Shumway's burial and Celebration of Life service. It was great to see members of the family and hear many stories of Grandpa. We will miss Grandpa greatly but I am so thankful for our knowledge of the plan of salvation and the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ who makes it possible for us to live as eternal families. The hub and his grandpa.
Rose and Grandpa B. Being silly as always.
Mini B and Aunt S.

On our way back to Nebraska my mom and I got on our previously scheduled flight from Grand Island, NE to Arizona to visit my grandparents. It was a long trip involving three time zones but well worth it. Rose really wanted to pick the oranges.
While we were there we got to see my Aunt Amy. It was her first time meeting my girls.
4 generation picture. My grandma is now 80 and can handle the craziest of great grandchildren.
Rose "helping" me make orange juice. Hmmmm, I want some right now!
We also met up with our friends from Laramie. Its always so nice to see good old friends.
Peekaboo.
This was Rose's favorite part of the trip. The daily golf cart ride.
Traveling with two young kids is not for sissies. Thanks mom for making the trip easier!
After we got home it was time for more fun in the sun. (Ok, nobody look at the white trash baby changing table in our backyard, embarrassing).

Searching for Easter eggs at our friends' parent's house. Yes, we still have parties at our parents' houses.
So much candy but Rose needed a little more.

5 months old and so darn cute!
Not much to say about this picture. We have two of God's greatest angels.

3 month update

Here is a quick update on what has been going on in the Milmonster house these days:
-Rose just started potty training. She is a pro and we are doing well. 2 kids in diapers is 1 too many.
-The Hub is half way through his second semester of dental school and is doing really well. He has spring break this week so we are doing things around the house. Grandma Mil and Aunt H come tomorrow for a few days.
-Miss Z is a laughing, smiling bundle of fun. She tries to sit up and is content most of the time. She loves her sister.
-Ever since we started a babysitting co-op group, the kids are always sick. We have had 3 colds in two months and it just gets passed around. Miss Z has had an ear infection and 2 colds in a month.
-I am getting use to being a mother of two. I am working on becoming a better sewer, photographer, scripture reader, money saver, exerciser, and of course, mother.
-We have almost lived in our new home for a year and still love Lincoln, NE and I have no problem being here for 3 more years. We love it!

This is a pretty regular occurrence at our house right now.

Audrey likes to exercise with me. She's pretty good. Please ignore my pajama pants!

I was taking pictures of Miss Z and realized my lighting was about perfect (which I have found is my key to taking a good picture, no flash just messing around with my camera) so here are a few of our cute girl at 3 1/2 months.

I L.O.V.E. this girl!

Rose wanted to take a bath in her new swim suit.

Rose's Kitchen

The girls got a new kitchen for Christmas! Rose loves to cook and I wanted to make it inspired by this amazing kitchen from a good friend and superior mother but I new I wouldn't be able to do it. So, I enlisted my talented brother and he created this masterpiece (with some finishing touches by grandpa)! Complete with a fridge, double oven, stove top, sink, shelves, hooks, towel rack, picture frame, a chalk board I found a goodwill, and I finished it off by making a cute checkered curtain.

I love it!!! And so does Rose so I guess thats most important:)

Cousins are so much fun!

Its so fun getting together with the whole Milmonster clan. The cousins are now old enough to appreciate one anothers' presence. Here are some fun Christmas time pictures.
Little B testing the limits in the box while Christmas chaos ensues.Nano loved holding Miss Z. So cute!
Grandma and Grandpa with all the kids.

Not sure what happened to Little B here but the train track was a giant hit!

Beautiful Girls

We have the most beautiful girls! I count myself lucky and thank my Heavenly Father everyday for these two precious souls. We may have some hard days (and nights) with a stubborn two year old and a fussy baby but its all worth the joy I feel every time I look at them. Thanks Chels for taking such great pictures and capturing the love I have for my family.
